My sincere thanks to the Sydney CICADA Committee - the “A”team - for the wonderful day out on 5^th May.

The BBQ day was a fantastic opportunity to meet up with implant recipients and their friends & family. With a crowd of 80 or so friendly faces, gourmet sausage sizzle,  home-made cakes, great choice of 2^nd-hand books and other items to help raise funds and the warm Autumn sunshine, it was a most enjoyable day.

Celene McNeill’s presentation on Meniere’s Disease and Tinnitus was another highlight- very informative and an education for me. Barbara’s talk on her own Meniere’s Journey through to a Cochlear implant at the age of 76 was an inspiration to us all.
